Lion Dance Workshop with Vermont Students
April 2, 2012: A group of high school students from Vermont visited the Montreal Chinese Community and Cultural Center to learn about the Chinese culture. We performed the lion dance for this occasion and taught the students about the history of lion dance. We also taught them the basics of lion dancing, and some of them tried out the lion heads.
MCCCC New Year Fundraising Ball – Lion Dance and Dragon Dance
We performed lion dance alongside with dragon dance for the New Year Fundraising Ball of the Montreal Chinese Community and Cultural Center, January 27, 2011. The event was organized by sifu, Jimmy Chan.
Chinese New Year at Gardenview Elementary
We performed lion dance at Gardenview Elementary school for 2012 year of the Dragon. We also held a workshop, teaching the children the basics Chinese lion dancing, as well as some exercises. January 20, 2012.
